#1 Postby chris_fit » Thu Sep 02, 2004 11:43 pm

Im sorry if its in the wrong place but I'm really excited and thought I would share. He is an awesome guy and really easy and fun to talk to :)

They also let me take a picture in the weather truck with all the gadgets.

Again sorry, and delete if unappropriate.

Chris, you got to grip Jim Cantore's microphone. Do you know how many women are jealous of you right now?

If you met Jim Cantore, you ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE!

That said he was the ONLY one I could stand to watch during Hurricane Charley - after CNN's debacle with the ingratiating, grating idiot blonde* and the poor FEMA dude. :blow:

(This is coming from a relative weather layperson's POV, but Cantore seemed to have a true clue about the storm, a sense of good television and an interest in relating info that might actually help people. That, and I think he's kind of got a Vin Diesel thing going. Which I don't like liking, but I ashamedly do.)

-Anjou

*nothing against blondes in general... have been one myself at times... though not lately, and never again.

PS: What does Cantore actually do if not standups in the middle of hurricanes? (Does he have to go up nawth for winter storms in the hurricane 'off' season???) :froze: Perhaps more relevantly, he has a tanning bed in that weather coverage truck, doesn't he? Doesn't he! :beam:
