Are all the dropsones screwing up the models? this is nuts

According to tv coverage, they are continiously investigating the high pressure environment over the storm. Numerous recon missions, every few hours.

Is all the data corrupting the models? Frankly, I think they are all full of crap.

The recon is measuring the storm's minimum central pressure and max wind. The data going into the models is taken from the synoptic (large scale) environment all over the Gulf and western Atlantic - they are done every 12 hours. Recon is in there basically constantly now, even though the plan of the day says every 3 hours.

Are the models initializing the ridge as not being strong enough? What's going on?
