Bad news for me as my place is literally (no joke) a stones throw from Fort Pierce....eeek!

Also Fort Pierce is very close to the local nuclear power facility...lets hope the winds don't reach CAT 5....I know nuclear PowerStation are tornado proof.....but still doesn't make you feel any better...

Also Hutchinson Island is a fantastic place including a nature reserve....and lots of old houses on the islands sea facing front.

Jensen beach and Stuart’s old town centres by the water front are going to get a serious battering!

I was also told that Hurricane Erin landfall was Fort Pierce....but not sure if that is official....

Subject to usual disclaimer of hurricane slowing down/speeding up/changing direction/turning into a fish/stalling for 24 hours at current location/going in reverse direction etc..etc....(hope I have covered all eventualities...apologies if haven't....yawn!)

Discaimer 2: Remember to look at the cone shaped area of the hurricane and not just a point....

Hmm, intensity back up? Also track at this point seems to far south, will look for sharp turn around 27N.

Agreed, too far south and maybe a bit too strong with the winds. I would also like to know rainfall estimates at some point.

Great graphic, if this holds WBP is just outside of the core, interesting. I see others feel this is to far south, I’m taking a “wait and see” attitude. Just spent a week in Punta Gorda on the Florida West Coast helping some clients where many people thought Charlie was going to be much North of their vicinity… surprise!

Great graphic, if this holds WBP is just outside of the core, interesting. I see others feel this is to far south, I’m taking a “wait and see” attitude. Just spent a week in Punta Gorda on the Florida West Coast helping some clients where many people thought Charlie was going to be much North of their vicinity… surprise!

The SkeetoBite maps are updated when significant changes in strength or forecast coordinates change.

Watch for a dramatic change with the 11am advisory from NHC. Looks like strength and landfall time will change dramatically. Unlikely the coords will change significantly.
