Kind of just sizing things up. I don't feel comfortable yet. In fact this is a slow toture for millions of us after days of preparation. The storm very possibly could react to this "squeeze" between the pressure zones by suddenly turning to the west and develop rapid intensification over the Florida Straits with 90 deg. water!!! It is going to be a crappy weekend around her weather wise! 8-)

Yeah, back on Tuesday I was saying that I wish we could fast forward to Friday, just to know where we stand. Well... it's Friday... and I still don't know.

The Miami long range radar is impressive... I just "refreshed" and the new data seems to show the center of circulation on the edge of the screen, and the first rain bands coming ashore. I also sense that she is not going to die... Frances may experience a bit of "circulatory revival" (I just coined that!) with some warm SST's ahead of her. How much revival may be determined by land interaction, as well as reduction of shear.

I agree, this slow crawl is driving me NUTS! :grr: I wish she would just make her d*** mind and go! Somewhere. Just not here...which I don't think she is anyway. Preferrably back out to sea...wishful thinking

I think the title of this post is appropriate for what we're experiencing now.
