Looks west to me.

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

IMHO

Convection seems to be developing on the west side giving a visual illusion of a westward movement.

Storm is mowing WNW/NW

If this is indeed a wobble then it's one helluva wobble. This reminds me somewhat of Betsy in 1965. She was poised to hit the Georgia/Carolina coast but high pressure forced her southwest into the Bahamas where she stalled over Labor Day and then began a slow westward motion over Key Largo.

This is not a illusion. Where do you see the northward movement on this
satellite loop?

Where do you see due west?

Someone even said SOUTH of west? What the hell? NO WAY

It is moving wnw according to recon (most accurate)

Convection is firing everywhere making it seem its moving in the direction of the blow up of convection.

Arrgh .. yes, Betsy. One of the glaring exceptions to the "you're probably OK if the storm is well north of your latitude" rule.

I've been staring at this and can't figure out if it's a real move or an illusion. Doesn't look to me like the center of circulation has moved very far, but to the extent it has moved, it does seem to have moved west.

I'll have to see several more hours of that before I believe it's a real change in direction, though.

Please show me where you see the NORTH movement?
There is none if anything it is now stationary

Now look at this awesome satellite loop. It may take awhile
to load but it's worth it. Again show me the NORTH movement?

The weaker it gets, the more the chance the high to the north has to act on it, driving it more westerly

Radar:

Look at the Eyewall...
right between the two island on the right hand side i dont know the names.
It is almost stationary now, but u can see that it is SLOWLY lifting north/west.

The Satelite...
Cant really tell any movement on that loop. Visual sat loops are usually best for that.

So lets say it pulls a Betsy any chance for a Texas hit

I had a dream of perfect swells rapping around S. Padre's jetty last night.

Ego heads no need to flame this poor old surfer dude.

Obviously we each have our on opinion as to Frances current motion or
lack of it so I will leave it at that.

I agree. Definately a big blow-up! It doesn't appear to be moving at all.
