if we kieep electricity through this first band, I will let everyone know how it was. If we lose electricity, I will have to turn off the comp to conserve batetry power as I am forced to try and do everything on my laptop via a dial-up (and I only have 90-120 mins of battery power)

Have you seen the latest satellite and radar images. She doesn't
seem to be moving much at all.

I just wish that the <b><u>foolish</b></u> (and thats the nicest way I can say that) Miami-Dade evacuation was not ordered so I could be in my office and provide everyone full service, instead of this partial BS I have been reduced to

the good news is that we got about 25 raindrops form the second rainband, didnt even bothing going outside to check on the storm as I'd have just been wasting my time

looks like I'll be able to produce full 11 p.m. packages on both systems

I'm sorry to disagree but it's better to be safe than sorry.
They did what they thought was the right thing to do.

It will be interesting to see if Miami is the same distance from landfall that Punta Gorda was from Tampa. So much grumbling came after Charley about people not evacuating down south despite being IN THE CONE. Is Miami really that much farther away?

Derek, you've been such a great level-headed forecaster for the past few days, hope you keep that going.
