Fort Lauderdale Beach-WOW

My home anenemetor just recorde a gust to 58mph---It's getting very very bad here with numerous branches down and power flickering....

We had a good band come through in Coral Springs.

I think these high winds well from the center to the NW are signs of the synoptics that are weakening her...

There is no doubt that she's weakened. The recon data had max winds at 98KTS at 700MB ,
which extrapolates to around 85 at the surface.

Actually 98 kt-110-115 mph, 10% reduction would be 100-105 mph(85-90 kt)

I'm on Commercial near the beach. We had one little squall come in a few hours ago, that's it. Now they are saying we aren't going to see anything for a few more hours. Time to drag out the grill and cook some steaks! :wink:

98kts -> 88.2kts -> 90kts -> 105mph

Multiply the knots value by 1.15 and you'll have an approximation of the MPH.

How are things over at Nassau??
