I keep losing access to this forum. We have no TV access now. Can anyone please tell me which radio station I can get the best updates from?

Thank you thank you thank you.

We still have internet. We still have power. But the last squall took out our cable TV.

I just heard on the radio another squall is due any minute. We may lose power then.

Thanks everyone.

Try plugging a small piece of wire into the cable input of the TV, this works in an emergency.

Anything metal that will push into the tiny center hole will work in a pinch, a safety pin or paper clip is almost perfect, just make sure it doesn't touch the outside edge of the cable input. This should get you at least one local channel.

This demonstrates why you shouldn't throw out those rabbit ears just because you have cable, cable is notorious for failing at the most inopportune moments.

usually works well when needed...one thing i learned in college NC George...but wouldn't a coax cable (i.e. VCR, etc.) work as well?

although you might need to change the TVs settings to accept antenna vs. cable
