Thanks for all of the nice words in the other thread...probably going to print that one out and keep it as a reminder for the times I get frustrated.
So far so good...power is running and I can make dinner with the stove.
Looks like the next bands are a couple of hours away...good news the hurricane is not any stronger...unfortunately is has not moved at all since 3:30PM...judging from recon fixes and looking at some long range radar.
Stationary is never good. Especially for our friends in the Bahamas...would love to see this start to kick out away from us...cant even imagine the anxiety that would be inherent if this system was is in the same place tomorrow morning. We are going on 54 hours under a hurricane warning.

I can't help but really feel for those in the bahamas under this thing right now...non stop pounding in cat 2/3 conditions with no idea when the end is in sight. The length of time exposed to that wind/rain has to be taking it's toll and making the damage more along the lines of a higher Cat hurricane.

Well I hope this all over tomorrow....staying in a dark house all day is depressing! It looks stationary to me...or moving VERY slow.
