Local Met says.... Anyone Agree?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Local Met says.... Anyone Agree?

#1 Postby lurkerinthemidst » Fri Sep 03, 2004 5:29 pm

There is a local met in Tampa Bay that is saying his radar which reaches a ways out has the projection that this storm is going to just skirt the coast of FL. What do all you think about that?
I just wish she would make up her mind and do something. NOT that I want her to hit any place or the other I just want to know what's going on.
Tired of living on the edge I guess. Hope who ever does get this is OK.

Looking at what they just showed on CBS, that seems highly unlikely. The big bands will be reaching us very soon according to them.

So many diffrent variables that will factor into its eventual path. Things could change quickly overnight.

i really hope not...we've just about counted this storm out...any explanation why?

is it because of the stalling...or are there some steering currents involoved that i do not understand?

This is WFLA right? Broadcast 8?
Although they got charley right, I don't trust his judgement on this one. He didn't seem very compelling.

I dunno, just a hunch.

He did not sound too convinced of the VIPIR model, Steve Jervey I am speaking of.
