Frances was never a cat 4 , and was always in the 115 MPH range, ppl would not think this storm is all of a sudden "weak"

what are yoy talking about? the cloud structure has become disorganized and proves it has weakened. dorpsonde and recon data clearly indicated a cat 4 cane.

I think he means if Frances was always a CAT 1 the past few days, then today a CAT 3 at 115mph, people would be saying....WOW a CAT 3 is about to hit!

But instead, she used to be a very strong CAT 4, and now she's a weak CAT 3, it's almost like people are taking her for granted....like she's weak or something.

Tampastorm, I couldn't agree more.
Too many are letting their guard down since this am report of dropping winds.
I have just heard of my Mom's neighbor in Volusia laughing at others' boarded-up homes saying "fools, we'll only get maybe 40mph winds now"
Oh, and not doing a thing about his pile of construction materials in his backyard (sat there thru Charley too)
