#1 Postby adelphi_sky » Fri Sep 03, 2004 6:32 pm

Wouldn't that be horrible if Frances took her time trapsing through FL then a week later, here comes Ivan right on her SLOWWWW heels? Hard to imagine.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ivan took a Charley-like track. Panhandle maybe?

I see no shear enough to do more than hinder development, and no dry air either.

Well, we can always hope things change for the BETTER in making things difficult for Ivan in the coming days.

So what can happen if two hurricanes do meet? Is it Alien v. Predator? Or do they just turn into something Drudge can call the superstorm?

they do what Gaston and Hermine did. a little osmething called Fujiwara. what that is is the outflows of hte two storms cause hte leading storm to pass over the other storm as it lsides below it. this is what catapulted Tropical Storm Hermine so far north extremely fast about a week ago.
Gaston went under her and she rotated around and to the north.

Well if the hurricane season was compared to a soccer match right now the score would be hurricanes:2 Floridians: 0. Let's hope Ivan stays away but at this point nothing would surprise me.
