No joke....check THIS out!

#1 Postby streetsoldier » Tue Apr 01, 2003 2:02 pm

Some sick b-----d called the family of a serviceman, claiming to be an "official" personage, to inform them that their son was killed in action in Iraq.

24 hours later, CENTCOM arranged a phone call home for this soldier, and sent them a statement confirming that he was alive, and well.

Comments? :grrr:

How can anybody be this sick? I just don't understand what drives a person to inflict that kind of pain on someone elase for no good reason. :-(

This kind of thing happened during WW II; my mother received a "three-star" telegram (sent by German "Bund" sympathizers) claiming that my father was "missing in action"....fortunately, my grandfather had a LOT of "pull" as Chief of Air Fuel and Lubricants for the USAAF, got on the "horn", and within less than a day, she received another telegram, this one from the International Red Cross, informing her that they had spoken to him 12 hours ago, and he was fine.

There is nothing new under the sun...but it is enough to &%$# me off royally, anyway.

Makes me sick! I just can't comprehend doing something so cruel.

Thank God the soldier was able to call home and talk to his family. I'm certain they "needed" to hear his voice after something as disturbing as that.

I hope they find out who did it and punish him appropriately.

I see this miscreant tried, convicted and sentenced, then given over to "Nasty Nate" and Tyrone", who will be more than happy to introduce him to all the "niceties" of the prison's "social agenda"...

That ranks right up there as one of the cruelest and coldest hearted things I've ever heard of :(

I hope they catch the perpetrator and throw the book at him..

HOW CAN ANYBODY BE THAT SICK?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! :x :x

I'll tell you what, if you find his number, and if he has his friends as soldiers, call him up & tell HIM that his friends are killed in the battle when they're still alive & well.
