While I agree about the scientific data, we've had way to many storms come right up the Cape Fear River. So I think there has got to be something else to it. For those that don't know, the Cape Fear Region is where the Gulf Stream turns to the right, and offshore, but most of our past storms have missed the turn and continued straight on, impacting our area. Somethig has got to be steering them other then upper level winds, fronts. and high pressure systems, but I don't know enough to explain it.
