Frances Laughing At Us Fools

#1 Postby THead » Fri Sep 03, 2004 7:19 pm

Sitting out there spinning, 100 miles east of Ft Laud. Sigh, I said I was going to relax once it got north of 26.1, but noooooo, its sitting out there laughing at me/us, teasing us, tormenting us. GRR!! Somone said its going to make history, it better not. If it does a charley and intensifies rapidly and jumps onshore, don't even want to think about it. Hopefully we'll wake up to TROPICAL STORM Frances in the morning.

They were right when they said it was going to slow down.. If it goes any slower it will be going backwards.

This sucks. It should be done and gone by now.

If it goes any slower, it will be heading back to Africa.

The only consolation is that it is weaker.

well hurricane elana was worse in my opinion. she would sit and spin for days. at first she was to come in around pensacola so we evacuated to montgomery. she backs out we go home. here she comes again and we went to tallahassee. she wanted to visit the big bend area of florida i gues and she just sits and spins. so we go back home only to find out she's on the prowl again. only this time she did go into missisippi.

I'm sick of the storm. Slow-moving tropical systems are up at the top of my pet peeve list. I'm hoping it'll be moving at about 10 mph, maybe faster when it comes through here Monday Night and Tuesday as a depression(track takes it just 40-50 miles west of me).

Anyone know the record for the most number of hours under a hurricane warning? Cause we are approaching 36 hours now..

It's making me insane.. Either come or go... I almost don't care which anymore. Just don't sit out there making me nuts anymore....

...a hurricane warning for approx. 48 hours during Diana in '84, but you folks are gonna top that for sure!

Hope Frances gets a burr up her butt and clears the area.

Thinking of all you folk!!

Regards,
