Either there is a broad center of Frances and its moving slowly WSW (boy would that be a shocker) ..... or their is a much smaller center just NE of the southern dog leg of the Abaco Island...... and its not moving period .. pick your poison
I guess the there is a third option.... I'm just plain delirious from watching these dang loops to long....
use the Miami composite reflectivity long range radar..... misery loves company...

Is there a recon in Frances right now? Will it give us a better idea of what she is doing???

I like the visible. I find if I look away from the center of the storm, such as the upper left corner of the image, I get a better feel for the general direction using my peripheral vision. The colored loops change too much to grasp the direction.

maybe drifting west ....
yeah, Ok, sure, why not....... drifting west......west..wes....we....w..
tell you what, convection on the west side is about as impressive as I've seen with Frances as I've watched it on radar tonight.... should be some good feeder bands heading to the coast in the next hour or less...

Wow, I surely don't like what I see on either the radar or the visible. It does look as if it will fall far short of NC/SC and is coming west!!!! (My first and last jab at the few ridiculous posters-just couldn't keep quiet any longer without bursting)
I was really amazed when SW FL was put under a tropical storm warning as I was much more concerned with the path going from just north of PB through mid state to Tampa Bay where my son lives-totally unconcerned (but fully prepared) about our area. Frances has a lot of tricks up her proverbial sleeves!
Nite all. Stay safe.
