Track of Ivan

#1 Postby siobhan222 » Sat Sep 04, 2004 1:12 am

Am I crazy or is Ivan possibly taking a track up through Puerto Rico, then into the Bahamas and then maybe the east coast of Florida AGAIN ....

If it does, I don't care. Then if I blow away, I blow away not worried. :)

It is supposed to take a similar, however more southerly track to Frances. However this is over a week out... If this becomes a major hurricane and sweeps through the keys as the GFS had shown... that would make this the worst hurricane season for FL in recorded time.

Don't assume what comes after the forecast track. Forecasting out 5 days is difficult enough, and the track errors would only increase exponentially thereafter. Not much point really. Somewhere along Florida looks reasonable, however.

I agree with you shortwave. Why bother taking down the boards when we might only have to do this again in 7-10 days. What on earth did Florida ever do to deserve this? (Don't answer that!)

Hey, then just put the hurricane over Katherine Harris's house! Sorry, I know...no politics.

Anyway, I hope FL gets a gasoline shipment between now and Ivan's arrival. Because I am getting OUT of here for a while.
