...HEAVY SQUALLS WITH WIND GUSTS TO 65 MPH APPROACHING BREVARD COUNTY...
AT 655 AM...MELBOURNE WEATHER RADAR INDICATE A RAINBAND ASSOCIATED WITH HURRICANE FRANCES EXTENDING FROM 60 MILES EAST OF CAPE CANAVERAL TO THE COAST AT MELBOURNE...AND INLAND TO LAKE OKEECHOBEE. THE SHOWERS WITHIN THE BAND OVER THE ATLANTIC CONTAINED WIND GUSTS BETWEEN 65 AND 75 MPH. AS THE HEAVY SHOWERS SPREAD ONSHORE THE COAST BETWEEN PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE AND INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH...GUSTS OF 65 MPH ARE LIKELY THROUBH 800 AM. FARTHER INLAND ACROSS SOUTHERN
OSCEOLA AND OKEECHOBEE COUNTIES...GUSTS OF 45 TO 55 MPH ARE EXPECTED. IN ADDITION...HEAVY RAINFALL OF ONE INCH PER HOUR WILL PERSIST ALONG THE NARROW RAINBAND.
