As others have said it's not always the best idea to assign significance to every wobble, but to look at the bigger picture over time. I think this overanalyzing every move causes a lot of unnecessary worry. Just my opinion.

when it's so close, it's hard not to watch the jogs. They became very important during Charlie as it neared land

Isn't "overanalyzing" what we wx enthusiasts do best? It's all just a part of the overall attraction – and the education – to this phenomena....

I don't deny overanalyzing, it's all part of the Charlie school of education here in SW florida. lol

A southwest jog is not necessarily bad news. In fact it would be good news for a lot of folks. Apparantly if the storm does not move any more north it will stay in an area of shear. The further north it goes the more it may strengthen. Besides, for me here in Orlando, the further south of us she is the better. A lot of folks up here don't need all the winds that are forecast. Not only do we have tons of debris left from Charley that can become missles, many, many homes have significant roof damage now covered by tarps. And last time I checked they don't make tarps that are rated for hurricane force winds, LOL! Just think what 80mph winds would do to those roofs that are already structurally compromised, not to mention 10-15 inches of rain falling into those homes.
