I know i am getting a little to ahead, but will Ivan be a carribean storm or atlantic? If its atlantic, it will be well south of frances's track, but could this mean the keys/miami will face a more direct impact compared to frances? I am saying this because i heard of some long range computer generated forecasts moving ivan towards the keys and maybe towards miami. Should i keep the shutters on my house or should i take them down?

I am also no expert, but you have to remember the re-curve after the islands. Most hurricanes take the re-curve and never threaten the US, it just kinda seems like more have lately. It all depends on what's going on over the US, but I think storms have a much better chance to threaten the US if they go into the Caribbean.
