Take a look at visible just of E. tip of Grand Bahama....Little southerly jog off westward drift?

That small vortex that peeled off the large eye-feature has managed to spin itself right into the center of the storm. That's why it looked to be moving WSW, and in fact, it may have. If convection goes up around that baby, there could be some rapid deepening down to 945 or so. There is still some visible shear over the southern part of the storm, but it still looks to weaken considerably before landfall, at least according to the 300-200 mb charts from RUC and Eta.
