96 in the NW quad?? Really want to see the winds in the NE quad, seems they are expanding around the circulation.

If it's moving due W, then the highest winds would be in the NW corner.

Usually the highest winds would be in the NE quad I thought. Plus, its not like she 'moving' much persay.

No 96 kt is 111 mph. :roll:

That's also NOT where the strongest winds are.

The strongest winds would be north and NE still ...

Is the fact that the pressure is up from 960 to 962 mb significant despite the fact that winds seem to have increased too?

Alicia had winds of 115 with a 963 pressure, so its still in range for a cat 3. I just think the winds are catching up.

Not really. It was 962 mb at 11am. It certainly isn't weakening right now.
