Lauderhill Report

#1 Postby THead » Sat Sep 04, 2004 10:13 am

No idea how fast the wind is blowing right now, but its howling at times. Would estimate 60 mph gusts so far. On the weatherbug from a school 5 miles south of here, realtime, gust at 47 reported from the NW, sustained at 25-30. Looks like a real substantial band is about to hit us according to radar. Amazingly our power is still on. It usually goes off in a strong thunderstorm....

Good luck everyone.

still have power! wind getting steadily stronger. Just went out for a little drive, i know, not a good idea. Quite a few trees and large branches down already. Lots of signal lights out. Weatherbug data showing an official gust of 60 now, sustained winds at 31. Looks like alot more to come...............
