WELL.....doesn't SEEM like it's that time of year but apparently, it IS! Our first frost/freeze of the season is 2 days away....our NORMAL first frost is 10 Sept.

BY SATURDAY...MOISTURE WILL INCREASE ACROSS THE EASTERN ZONES AS THE
SUBTROPICAL FETCH CONTINUES. HAVE INCREASED POPS ACROSS THE ERN/SERN
ZONES INTO THE CHANCE CATEGORY FOR SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT. BY
SUNDAY...DRIER AIR AND SUBSIDENCE IN THE WAKE OF THE TROUGH SHOULD
BEGIN TO MOVE ACROSS THE WRN ZONES. THIS DRIER AIR WILL ALLOW
OVERNIGHT TEMPS TO COOL WITH SOME OF THE HIGHER ELEVATION LOCATIONS
FALLING TO NEAR FREEZING BRIEFLY SUNDAY MORNING.

YeeeHawww! We've had showers off and on since 2200 last night and it's STILL raining, haven't had a chance to check my rain gauge......this is a VERY strong cold front coming thru, once again, when it breaks out of the Rockies, LOOK OUT in the Mid West and Plains, could be a very active Sunday and Labor Day!

.SYNOPSIS...AN UNSEASONABLY STRONG STORM SYSTEM AND COLD FRONT WILL
MOVE ACROSS THE STATE TODAY BRINGING BREEZY CONDITIONS AS WELL AS
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. EXPECT GRADUALLY WARMING TEMPERATURES AND
MAINLY SUNNY SKIES ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY...WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS
DURING THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK.

&&

.DISCUSSION...DYNAMICS AND COLDER AIR ALOFT NOW MOVING ACROSS NRN
AZ...WITH CONVECTION BREAKING OUT ACROSS ALL BUT THE NORTHEASTERN
ZONES. DRIER AIR RESIDES TO THE WEST OF THE CWFA AND QUESTION IS HOW
QUICKLY THIS WILL MOVE EASTWARD AND PUT AN END TO THE SHOWERS. FOR
NOW...WILL GO WITH MID-RANGE CHANCE POPS FOR MUCH OF THE CWFA FOR
ALL PERIODS TODAY...AND LET THE DRYING START TONIGHT. IN THE WAKE OF
THE TROUGH AND COLD FRONT...THE DRIER AIR AND LOWER THICKNESSES WILL
RESULT IN MUCH COOLER TEMPS WITH SOME LOCATIONS ABOVE 7000 FEET
FALLING TO NEAR FREEZING BY SUNRISE ON SUNDAY MORNING. SUNDAY SHOULD
BE MOSTLY CLEAR ACROSS ALL BUT THE SRN PORTION OF THE CWFA. WARMER
TEMPS RETURN ON MONDAY WITH MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES CONTINUING.

SPC is showing a Tornado report from 13NE of Young here in AZ. This is actually a situation that can cause severe weather in AZ including tornadoes.

WOW! I didn't hear about that, course we've been on a search! I finished the system out with 1.32" of rain in a 24 hour period, all it did was settle the 2" thick dust on the back roads.
