I am in Fort Lauderdale and when the eyewall goes over the WPB area and takes about 10 hours to get completely past WPB, what kind of weather will Fort Lauderdale have, as we are outside the eyewall...will we have constant heavy wind and rain, while where the eye is gets calm conditions?
Thanks

It can be hit or miss based on where the strongest convection is wrapping around the eye/center. Fort Lauderdale is close enough to get outer eyewall winds -- gusts to 90 or 100 possible, sustained at hurricane force for sure.
If you are far north in Broward, you are just out of a strong, wide band. Radar shows NW to SE Broward very much under intense thunderstorm conditions.
Stay safe.
