Another stupid auction I saw recently:
Britney Spears Gum from December 2002 in New York
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MEWA:IT
It shows 0 bids but click on where it says 0 bids. There were a lot of bids, up to $25,000.

Sense of humor still intact
ROTFLMAO !!
That guy is great! Lighten up, for heaven' sake. He was sensitive enough to include a disclaimer.
I think it is a form of performance art. Only he is not taking himself too seriously, as so many performance artists seem to do. He even looks funny.
He is actually doing something that is pretty creative, don't you think? Taking a really bad situation and finding some way to make it work for you rather than against you is a good thing. It may have been theraputic for him, a cathartic experience, a project that helped channel anxiety into a good laugh.
I am a retired art teacher, and I would have given him an "A+" for coming up with his idea and for his execution of it.
I am not insensitive to the tragedy of this hurricane. I am a fifth generation FLoridian who lost everything I owned in Andrew.
