Another Stall?

Melbourne short range IR Loop shows absolutely no movement the past hour. Damn, I wish this thing would get inland.

Probably eye deception - but almost looks like WSW drift...

I was watching the band getting ready to come on shore at Jupiter...it rotated in same place but never moved inland throughout the entire cycle of images...but looking at the eastern eyewall, IT looked like it may have moved westward just a bit.

still disagree...it looks very evident to me that over this loop the western eyewall has cut the distance to shore by about half.......

and in addition to that i think west movement of the entire storm is very evident..

landfall (did we ever get a precise definition...i always thought any portion of the eye) very close by my definition.

funny things people can disagree on!!

Actually.....it is possible that Frances is moving west very slowly, but because of the contraction of the eye it appears to be stalled.

Your completely missing the point. We said it was moving west, and THEN stalled. Meaning it moved, and stopped.

She might try to form a new inner eye wall, so analizing short term movement is going to be hard to judge.

I've been watching MLB radar for the last five hours and I see a definite, slow movement to the west.

Also, the 'cane has moved from 60 miles out to 45 miles out in the last few hours. Definite westward movement.

No its not a matter of me being good, its a matter of calling what you see. I have the KAMX which happens to have a 3 Hour (Heh go figure  ) loop, and I am seeing it move west, and then stall. It sat in the same spot for 1 hour of the loop.
