West Coast Gusting

Picking up here on SW Florida coast. House just starting first shakes and roof creaking after being loosened by Charley. Good buffeting gusts probably 40mph. Tin roofs of those damaged by Charley creaking and slapping...

Bad for us because wind is from the north and will push damaged trees the opposite way from the south winds of Charley. Considering shutters while we still have power...

Just talking to a Neighbor he is a homicide detective for PCSD he is in the know. Expect 45-60 mph winds after midnight he said after 6am galeforce until........ :eek:

It appears that the track will be closer to your neck of the woods than earlier predicted... Is that your viewpoint too?

I am here in Bokeelia, Sanibel. Must of been a gust from an outlying feeder. we haven't had anything that strong yet, but we will. Echo on the wind direction change, any trees still hanging up will come down in time, and it wont take much. They havent cleaned up poop here, so it will be all over the roads once more.

Hi rainband

I downloaded radar software that was posted on this board, been using it all day (it's great for tracking the cells from these early feeder bands). Looks like we will have a pretty good cell coming our way in about 30 minutes or so.

The "stall" appears to be drifting her north and away from us. Whoever said central Florida has a magic hurricane deflector is starting to look awfully wrong...


As far as track, if she deepened, finally gripped that ridge and tracked WSW straight over us, I wouldn't be surprised...
