Weather Radios
I just realized my old sony FM/AM/TV/WX radio no longer works. What for weather radio does anyone recommend, should I get one with SAME? Are there any with SAME that also has FM/AM bands? Any recommendations appreciated.

I got it for 65 dollars at a sporting goods shop near my home in New Jersey. Best online price I have seen is 70 or so.
It also has an alarm on it that goes off when a warning is issued. You can shut it off but it is fun to be awakened by a loud ass alarm at 3 AM when a thunderstorm warning is issued.
It's a great radio.

I got mine at Radio Shack after the killer tornadoes came through central Florida about 6-7 years ago. It is a SAME type. It has been going off every thirty minutes or so, and in fact two nights ago gave me a Hurricane warning for "Sat and Sun."
The only problem I have with it is that it will go off (or ON) for an alert, then it will stay on for about five minutes. I wish it would give the (usually) :30 alert then turn the audio off.
