Storm Damage Tampa/Hillsborough Co.
I am the Damage Assessment Coordinator for Hillsborough Co. working out of the EOC in Tampa. The latest reports from Hillsbrough Co./Tampa are two homes w/minor damage (shingles blown off) in Apollo Beach & North Tampa, and a report of a tree falling on a house in West Tampa. Also Teco (Tampa Electric Co.) reports about 11,000 without power due to downed power lines from falling trees. Also numorouse tress down throught the county. Squalls are increasing in intensity & frequency with the worst yet to come. Will try to keep you all updated as time permits.

Apollo Beach
Still not much here.
Pressure is at 992 mb at 8am.
The highest wind gust my wind guage has registered was 28 mph.
Our power had flickered a few times, but that's all.
I guess it keeps going on either side of me - and I am not complaining!!KayFL

Lights have flickered on and off here twice in West Pinellas. HAve had winds as high as 40 mph. Sure looks like it is going to come out over Pinellas or just South in Bradenton.Nitice that all the major rain is mostly behind the circulation center.
