No Lightening?

#1 Postby Ixolib » Sun Sep 05, 2004 7:33 am

Interesting tid-bit I just heard on Channel 9. These "warm" stoms coming in with the squalls have very little if no lightening. As compared to a typical thunderstorm with higher tops that is full of lightening. Just thought that was interesting...

I was thinking the same thing as I took my dog out this morning and had to stand out in the open with him. He wouldn't go out unless I went out with him. Poor little guy.

exactly because tropical systems are warm core........I just found that out recently too....that was the only saving grace for my 6 year old was that at least he wouldn't have to hear thunder or see lightning

Yeah... what people on the East Coast last night were calling lightning was actually the blue/green flashes of transformers blowing. That is a wild thing to see!
