Amazingly...

Right on the east coast on radar, dark red deepining in the storms are picking up again. This storm is not going down anytime soon.

Its because it is still picking up juice from the warm waters and gulf stream

I would be surprised if it held CAT 1 across Florida. The time it's going to spend over land will make that very difficult. While it will be able to draw moisture from the Atlantic and Gulf to feed the rainbands, the core won't.
