Water being pushed out of Tampa Bay

just the opposite of what we thought Charley would do to the Bay. Reports of sandflats never seen before. Better than the alternative.

Oh crap... isn't it going to COME BACK?

http://www.wtv-zone.com/phyrst/audio/nf ... 29wave.htm

"We'll always remember, in story and rhyme,
The Newfoundland tidal wave of twenty-nine.

Later that night, as the story unfolds,
The water went out of the harbours and coves;
While out on the Grand Banks, the sea gathered force,
Till it struck the land, keeping straight on its course.
The first wave came in with a thunderous roar,
In anger and fury it lashed at the shore;
A thirty-foot monster with vengeance in mind.
And when it retreated, two more came behind."

Keep in mind, all that water has to be replaced when the storm passes... and could be helped back in by a Southwest wind from Frances at a fast rate... SLOSH :eek:
