Frances scares me....

#1 Postby ~SirCane » Sun Sep 05, 2004 3:37 pm

This hurricane is the size of TEXAS!!! It's outflow looks great even over land and it will still be a 75mph Hurricane or a 70mph TS when it hits the Gulf water that's in the upper 80's! That's scary. Even if it hits a place like Ft. Walton or Destin-Mobile all the way to Apalachicola will get hammered with wind and rain because of this mammoth size. Scary.

Think I better secure some things.

Still moving between W and WNW too. Something tells me it may go further West than the NHC seems to think.

Well the 5pm advisory is out and no extensions of watches or warnings in our area. I thought me might at least get a tropical storm watch.

If I wake up tomorrow and the power's out and the wind is blowing 50mph outside,I'm gonna do some NHC slamming

Actually... it's forecast to make landfall sometime tomorrow afternoon(probably Noon-5pm). The Tuesday Morning position is into Southeast Alabama.

IF it goes farther west, landfall will be delayed a bit, but I don't think so right now.
