I know it seems way too early to keep asking these questions, but what are the latest projected models for ivan? Has the consensus shifted to a mainly carribean and later gulf storm or will Ivan make it out to the Atlantic? What are the meteorologists and forecast models saying?

tuff to call, IMO, given rapid forward speed and explosive growth today.
Islands have a HUGE problem with this.
If he's north of PR, US EC...& maybe FL have a HUGE problem.
South of Hispaniola = likely GOM.
Over Hispaniola (The Blade) = weaker storm reorganizing. Maybe over E Cuba. GOM still decent shot, FL possibly, US EC...long shot.
VERY doubtful this is a fish.

None of the models for this storm more than 70-h will do much to justified where the storm will really track we just need to Nowcast the strom and see where it may track to next. Once it's under 70-hours than we can use the models...Windfall wrote:I know it seems way too early to keep asking these questions, but what are the latest projected models for ivan?
