what is a trough

#1 Postby jes » Sun Sep 05, 2004 5:55 pm

I know what a high looks like on a map, but I don't understand what a trough is and how is it identified on a map. I would love to be able to look at the trough when you talk about it. I wish there was a short weather course on hurricanes. Maybe when the season is over one of you can teach a course on this board. That would be fun.
