Some idiot is out on a ladder trimming a tree

#1 Postby Terry » Sun Sep 05, 2004 5:50 pm

Oh, crud, it's my husband. 1.5 foot waves on the lake, 50 mph winds and he's outside on a ladder. Darwin award goes to my hubbie. At least he isn't using a chainsaw.

The poor people on the East Coast. It is so much worse there.

I am dead serious. My daughter has it on tape. And he's still at it.

Kevin, I'll pass along your message, but he may never come back in. He is a tall, skinny guy. One more gust and he'll be in Orlando. Jeez.

Well, he made it back in. Thing is, if he'd trimmed the crepe myrtle yeserday like I'd asked, it might not have gone down.

LOL. Having a glass of champagne cuz there just isn't much else to do right now.

Hey hon, he was taking care of his family. I know it doesn't make the most sense, but be thankful.

There are a heck of a lot worse hobbies for a married man to have than taking care of his family.

Actually, he wasn't taking care of his family. He was taking care of his oak tree. Family was inside getting ready to be hit by oak on westside.

LOL - hubbie is now safely parked on the sofa. However, the wind will not let up.
