Doggone dogs gone

...and found. Left the garage door open. When I untied them and brought them in, they went right out the garage door. DUHHHH.

A quick car ride located them, trotting through a yard along the main street, like a couple "free Willys." I'm glad they stuck together and didn't get hit by a car.

LOL, Ed, I think Steph was referring to the
cantankerous canines as "kids"! ;)

i have a question,

how do you accomodate a dog's elimination requirements during a hurricane? I cant imagine actually letting them "go" in the house. dont have anyplace to accomodate that. suggestions?

There has to be some open floor somewhere in the garage. The car & truck won't smell very good but... :eek:

Alicia - I've wondered this very same thing! Last year as we were encouraged to create a safe room in our homes, buy duct tape and plastic sheeting, store water and food, prepare to hole up for a day or two, I thought now what do I do with a dog that's house broken? Our dog will NOT go in the house. I have stained woodwork and doors in our house. Hope has scratched off an inch of stain/finish on the back door, to remind us each time she needs to go out. I don't know what I'd do if I had to keep her inside for a day or two.

My brother-in-law is disabled now and has a therapy dog. He and his wife considered going on a cruise but then thought it just wouldn't work out. Probably for the same reason - where would you send a dog to relieve himself on a cruise ship?

Maybe if you ever see rug that looks like grass, buy it! I would say encourage your dog to go on it a few times now but then that would just confuse the dog.
