just fine in St Petersburg, FL

#1 Postby st pete walt » Sun Sep 05, 2004 6:44 pm

I have electric, cable, roof etc. Thought everything was fine here until I ventured outside. We heard fire crackers going off earlier, thought it was kids playing. That is what it sounded like. Well on my walk, no one on my side of the street has electric and you can see just small branches down every where. Every block though had a good size branch or tree down. Then I went to the park where the Devil Rays practice and there is a moble home park and one of the roofs are in the street and installation all over the park. guess that was the fire crackers going off.

I don't know, but I work there and I can't connect to our servers and we have generators. So I would assume some trees are down and took down the cable lines. On local TV they only talk about Palm Harbor, Dunedin and Oldsmar

I lost power a little after 3pm, heard something blow. Finally took my food, beer & self to my parents, irony since they always get it bad & nothing ever happens in my area. Raining pretty steady here for the last minutes. Trying to decide if I want to chance a drive to my home, even though I know power is still out.
