I think at this rate it could very well be our first cat. 5 storm of this season.

This vaguely reminds me of watching Isabel form up- it was oh so very pretty- but heading towards land. (completly different tracks)

It was heartstoppingly beautiful and at the same time- utterly terrifying.

Brent, you took the words right out of my mouth. Just seems surreal.

I had my first hurricane in 1949 at 6 months old on a SE FL barrier island. Prior to the naming of canes. Second one in 1950. Other little ones and Donna. Floyd clobbered our place (not me personally) in Green Turtle Cay, Abacos, Charley and Frances. Hopefully, Ivan won't get on my Hurricane Life List

We are in a weather dream or nightmare.

The GFDL model was the only one that thought it would be Cat. 4 so quickly.
