Will Ivan affect my VA. Beach plans next weekend

Will Ivan affect my VA. Beach plans next weekend
Friday the 10th I am driving up to VA Beach from NC and I am staying there until Sunday. I am wondering if Ivan will cause any problems up that way next weekend. It looks like it will be pretty far south while I am up there to be much concern but I'm not hurricane expert. Think I will be able to get my weekend at the beach next weekend?

JMM - Most of the folks in here are really happy to help where they can. Unfortunately, next weekend is just to far out to make a valid prediction. But, if you give it some time, and check back often, you will find answers to almost any weather-related question you might have. There are some amazingly smart people that hang out here!!
