Nasty Squall Line North of Tampa

#1 Postby wlfpack81 » Mon Sep 06, 2004 8:58 pm

Intense storms occuring over Hernado and Pasco counties on the w-ern coast of Florida. Looks like Frances is still causing those people down there problems as the circulation fires up storms over the gulf. Rainfall rates in these storms around 1.6in per hour and there have been a couple of mesocyclones indicated within these storms.

Looks like this squall line is building back to the sw so those in Pinellas County/Tampa may want to watch out.

Watch out for those trailing SE squalls.
Did a real number on East Central Fl this afternoon.
Loaded with both small tornadoes and straight line winds.

Rain will be on us for another day at least.

The major feeder band still cuts up from Tampa through Jacksonville.
Still under all kinds of watches.

not a fun storm.
