A LARGE TROPICAL WAVE...ACCOMPANIED BY A SURFACE LOW PRESSURE AREA...IS CENTERED ABOUT 750 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS. THIS SYSTEM HAS BECOME BETTER ORGANIZED THIS MORNING... AND CONDITIONS APPEAR FAVORABLE FOR SOME ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO OCCUR DURING THE NEXT FEW DAYS AS THE SYSTEM MOVES WESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.
A WELL-DEFINED LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LOCATED ABOUT 850 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE AZORES ISLANDS IS MOVING SLOWLY EASTWARD. THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY HAS INCREASED AND BECOME BETTER ORGANZIED...AND UPPER-LEVEL WINDS HAVE BECOME MARGINALLY FAVORABLE FOR A TROPICAL DEPRESSION TO FORM LATER TODAY OR WEDNESDAY BEFORE THE SYSTEM REACHES COLDER WATER.
