Russian hostages

#1 Postby Lindaloo » Fri Sep 03, 2004 5:50 pm

I do not know how many of you have been following this hostage crisis. I just heard on the news that over 200 women and children were killed when the school was rushed today. There were childrens bodies everywhere. One lady was uncovering sheets until she found both her young boys. I am VERY angry and upset and I want some answers as to WHY this happened!! Putin said the other day he wanted this situation resolved without the loss of life! Well he failed! :grr: :grr:

My prayers go out to those children and all who lost their lives today at the hands of terrorists and the people that were hired to get them out of there safely!!

Yeah... it hasn't gotten much play because of big domestic stories, but this morning when I woke up all three cable networks were covering it. Very bad situation and I also want to what went wrong. There's no excuse for such a high toll. :(

I remember when they rushed that movie theater and found all of those hostages dead. However, I think that they had been dead for a while.

At anyrate, holding children hostage is absolutely the lowest thing that you can do IMHO. I hope they catch every single one of those animals! :grr:

They seem to botch most of the rescue missions they do over there.

Wasn't the Russian's fault I heard. Seems like some hostages were making a run for it and the attackers opened fire on them. The Russian soldiers outside heard the fire and assumed the worst. The rescue op was launched, and the suicide bombers blew themselves up. Not much else the Russians could have done...

Back in the Old Days

of the USSR when a region became intractable, they brought in Mongolian Troops who would pacify it in the manner that they were accustomed to back in the days of the Khan. Maybe they need to ask Mongolia for some help now against the Muslim extremists.

There was also a bomb that went off inside of the school... this may have killed a majority of the hostages. I was reading something today that most of the hostages are running around in barely any clothes due to the immense heat. There is a slight possiblity also, that the students and the parents make have died from a heat related illness.

This is another case of their blatant disregard for human life. They allegedly laughed at children who were fainting from thirst and hunger. These people are the epitome of evil....

Coming to a school near you. Soft targets are the top priority for these scum.

Such an awful situation to unfold right before our eyes! I cannot imagine the feelings the hostages all felt.....nor the relatives waiting outside... :(

Pictures from inside the school are now being shown....it tears your heart to see them. Unfortunately, this will most likely be repeated somewhere else.......the attention given is exactly what they were looking for. :(

Working with young people, I often am amazed at how niave their attitudes are about terrorist actions.....but I'm now convinced MOST of us are quite unaware of the lengths these people (people??) will go.....p
