Could one of you explain or link to an explanation of the vortex data? In particular, I remember reading that lines I, J and K are important since the differential in temperatures between inside and outside the eye are indicative of the potential strengthening of the storm in the short term. I forget which lines are which.

Someone on another forum posted a small program that would automatically convert the vortex data into layman's terms.. if any of you have it I would love to find a copy.

Thanks, that is another good site for my favorites.

Unfortunately, they failed to explain (or even mention) lines I, J and K. Those are the ones I am trying to get information on.

I have a friend who works with the hurricane hunters at Keesler AFB. I may be able to get the information from him. If I do, I will certainly post it here.
