Cat 4- Not for long?

While the sat IR imagery is VERY impressive ATT, take a look out ahead. Notice the flattening appearance of the bands out in front of Ivan, if you take a look it does appear as tho some good southerly shear may be beginning to affect the system. Now as ive made point before, its hard(very hard) for a Cat 3-5 storm to maintain its very delicate structure in anything less then perfect conditions. A cat 1 about to hit this shear may not lose much strength, however a cat 3-4 hitting it could very easily have its structure disrupted enough to being it down a good few notches in strength..... just something to think about

Don't know that it is enough to impede it as the ULL to it's west is weakening and moving west as well. Looks to me that if anything he is going to continue strengthening overnight as the convection is deepening around much of the center. I do note that there seems to be a slight jog more 280ish in the last frame or two. Maybe a slight wnw movement beginning to take shape now.
