Should FOX News fire Geraldo?

#1 Postby azsnowman » Wed Apr 02, 2003 11:05 am

This is just my opinion BUT.......Geraldo compromised our troops in such a way that he may have put them in harms way, SO, should FOX News fire him? My vote, "YES!"

I saw the "map in the sand"; it was so crude and vague that I doubt any Iraqi could have gleaned anything from it. But, CENTCOM should be kept happy...maybe a transfer to the FoxNews Nelly's Nipples, Nevada affiliate?

I voted NO..As I stated in the other thread.. I don't hate the man..He made a mistake and I am sure he realized it after it was done. I don't think he should lose his job. I think having reporters in the war zone is a bad idea. IMHO this will probably happen again. I hope not but we will see.

Dosent matter if he is fired or not, the point is that the military thought he said to much, so no more embeded work for him   They were all instructed not to even give a clue, no matter how small the clue was... This was a clue, al be it a small one, he still broke the rules.

It is his place to show the detailed maps... Not the reporters that have been instructed not to

j, im not even saying that he SHOULD be fired im just saying that they made the decision to remove him, and it is an opinion that i respect

CENTCOM shows operational maps "ex post facto"..."after the fact", so as not to compromise operations in progress.

He made a mistake, but he is a good, thorough reporter. IMO, he deserves a second chance. Let's give the guy a break!

WHEW! Just got the power back on, as soon as I posted this, the power went out due to the WIND!

ANYWAYS......Geeesh, had I known how everyone felt about this idiot, I wouldn't have posted this "LOL!"

I will stay on my course and say he's so full of himself he stinks! Wasn't it last Sept when we went into Afghanistan and Geraldo stood in front of the camera and bowed his head and said, "I am standing on hallow ground where 3 Marines lost their lifes!" Come to find out the idiot was lying thru his teeth! Remember his talk show when he staged a fake fight? I don't know, I can't STAND ANYONE who will stand in public and lie like that, just to get his ratings up. OK, maybe he shouldn't loose his job, send him back home to work with Jerry Springer, THAT'S more his style IMHO!
