I also read that they have found a shredded female military uniform. They found a big battery near a bed too. Hopefully that was Jessicas uniform and not the other female POW.

How in the world did she get several gunshot wounds? Surely not from Special Ops.

My guess is there was a firefight with a lot of bullets flying around. The reports are that the injuries are not life threatening. There's always the possibility that there was an attempt to silence her before the rescue team got her. We'll just have to wait for the details to come out.

I agree Marshall. I'd bet money Jessica has quite a story to tell...most of it horrible. Maybe when she tells it, the rest of the world will get a little insight into why we are fighting this inhumane regime: a regime of evil that tortures their own Olympic athletes for winning bronze instead of gold; that tortures and murders captured prisoners of war...even women

From what I read this morning, apparently the military was tipped off by an Iraqi civilian - I believe a woman, that passed a note to them telling them that she was in that hospital and what room number. She also told them that she was being tortured.

A big THANK YOU to that wonderful, caring civilian!

From what I have seen on MSNBC.com, a note was passed from an Iraqi to one of their reporters, stating that she was being held, where, and that they were torturing her...also to "let your bosses know".

That she is young, and pretty, and none of her Fort Bliss comrades were found, raises some rather ugly speculation as to why Jessica was the only POW recovered from Saddam Hospital at the time of the rescue... :grrr:
