hmmmm, wonder if they got the direct center with that pressure, although 2 mb isn't that much a difference...it's still down from this morning.

Yet each satellite picture that comes in shows and increasingly powerful hurricane....by this evening the pressure will likely be down and the winds up...

Agree.. The man hour/power needed to keep up with something like that just would not be plausible at this time.. If anyone can find a Relief fund type deal set up for them we would be more then happy to do what we can to get the word out!!

I'm pretty sure it isn't up - they just put what they report but if the winds at the surface were high, then it wasn't in the eye. Notice the 2 p.m. advisory estimates 949 mb from the recon drop. My guess is it is 949 and not up.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has a Grenada branch. Their java applet menu freezes my browser, but perhaps you can find the information needed at http://www.ifrc.org/address/gd.asp

Amen. We here in Florida are so wrapped up in the models that you never stop to think about those who have already suffered and suffered terribly. Unfortunately, the remoteness of Grenada makes it all but invisible to Americans. God bless them and set them upright into another day.

http://www.stormcarib.com has some very good info on how best to help people in Grenada and other damaged islands, with local reports and names and addresses.
Just go down to any reports from those islands for more info on what is going on and how to help
