We tend to say that these things are terrible & destructive. We pray for hurricanes to miss us or to lessen our suffering. There is great empathy & sympathy for all who have lost lives or property. But it reminds me of something the late, great Sam Kinnison said about people who starve to death living in desert climates - There's No Food There! Hey, I think we all decided to live in the "great" Florida weather, didn't we? Gotta take the bad with the good.

I was born in Florida to Florida-born parents. I live here because this has always been home to me. I however am also sick of Hurricanes. Two major Hurricanes in three weeks is a phenomena. Three in five weeks has to be near impossible. I'm afraid we are about to see the impossible, although I pray the 96 & 120 hr forecasts are too far east. Let's pray for a few more westerly jogs to kick it out a few degrees.

I sustained major damage from Charley. I sustained major water damage from Frances (due to the previous roof damage). I cannot physically nor emotionally deal with another one this soon!

My heart and prayers go out to all those folks down in Florida.

Enough is definitely enough, there have already been three bad 'canes there this season and now the latest models are indicating that 145mph Ivan will hit South Florida.

I hope to God that those darn models are dead wrong. For goodness sake, send it anywhere but Florida!! Floridians need a d@mn break from these storms!! so does the East Coast!! ENOUGH CANES IN FLORIDA ALREADY!!! ENOUGH RAIN IN THE EASTERN US ALREADY!!!

I have often felt the same way the last 10 years here in NC. Seems like up to this year we had a bulls-eye painted on us and up the coast they would come to pay a visit to us. My heart and prayers really go out to all you folks down in Florida.

Praying that Ivan will turn and go out to sea or go else where (not that I want to see anyone get hit by him), as you all have enough on your plates already.
